Greetings!

Angle Wars gets it's inspiration largely from the 1986 DOS game Battleground:

It was an awesome game for it's time, with destructible buildings and trees (the little stars), but required some imagination, as graphics were non-existent back then. I wanted to capture the tactics and thought that went into a game of Battleground, mixed with the light-hearted cartoony feel of other childhood favorites like Worms and General Chaos, but bring it to a 3D perspective. This allows for some additional elements like trajectory and wind, which was always a fun part of games like Worms. Here's an example, curving the rocket by using the strong easterly wind:

I knew wind had to be in the game when I was play-testing it, and the grenade I'd thrown blew back and exploded at my feet.

Currently, I'm polishing up some of these physics aspects, the deformable terrain, ricochets, and destructible trees and buildings. I plan on shifting my focus to the single player (perhaps co-op) campaign challenges next, and hopefully will have a demo available here in the next couple months. Stay tuned, and shoot any ideas my way!
